Why Podcast SEO is So Buzzy in 2026

Hey! I'm Arielle. 2026 is the year of podcast SEO.

I don't say that to make a big, sweeping statement. In fact, I'm allergic to big, sweeping statements. But as the internet gets more crowded with both human-made and AI-generated stuff, helping the right audience find your podcast quickly is a big deal.

I'm here to say: podcast SEO is one conversation actually worth your time and effort. Understanding how search engines work, how podcast apps use metadata, and what your audience searches for can help you capture a meaningful share of podcast discovery.

The reason podcast SEO is everywhere lately is because it's a relatively low lift that can make a big difference. Established podcasters can make a few strategic updates to become more findable, while new shows can build search into their strategy from day one.

Here are some quick tips (things you can do today) on podcast SEO.

With all of this in mind...

On Wednesday from 5-7 PM, I'm teaching a class called Podcast SEO: Define Your Strategy & Launch Your Campaign. I'm partnering with Ausha, specifically their PSO tool, to teach it.

If you're like, "Arielle, I'm not in NY...but I still want to learn," good news! I taught an online podcast SEO class and you can get the replay + resources here.
