Negotiate one promo swap for your podcast or newsletter today
Promo swaps let you borrow trust and audience from another creator. The more effective podcast and newsletter swaps aren’t necessarily between creators with identical audience sizes or topics. They’re between creators whose audiences care about each other’s work.
Identify one podcast or newsletter with an adjacent audience and pitch a specific promo-swap idea today.
Prioritize audience fit over audience size.Look for a creator who serves people similar to your show.
Try this audience-overlap shortcut: Ask your listeners or subscribers, “what other podcasts and newsletters do you like?” Their answers will build your list.
Offer a specific exchange. Instead of “let’s collab,” try: “Would you be open to swapping a 75-word newsletter recommendation?”
Negotiate based on value… not just numbers. If one audience is much larger, balance the exchange by offering multiple mentions, a longer placement, a guest interview, anything you can leverage.
Make it easy. Prepare your promo assets and give your collab partner options.
