Do you think you have a niche podcast? You might, but also...

Hey! I'm Arielle.

I've been thinking a lot about niche podcasts lately. Mostly because everywhere I go in podcast land, I hear this:

I'm having a hard time growing my podcast because is so niche.

As a listener, I looooove a niche podcast. I love plugging into a niche community. As a creator / show developer I also love niche podcasts. It's so fun to shape a show for such a specific audience.

"I'm having a hard time growing..." brings up a BUNCH of questions for me, but one that I'll share here...

Is it possible that you're leaning on the that niche-ness as a crutch / excuse for why you're not growing?

It's very possible that your show is super niche, or even that it's moderately niche and that your total addressable marketing is legitimately not that large.

But if you can figure out what your show's niche really is (not a hunch, but the real keywords and pockets of the internet + IRL you need to be aware of), you can figure out who your audience is. Once you do that, you have a clear pathway to understanding what they need and what they want to learn.

So whether your show is super niche or just a little bit niche, the playbook is the same: figure out who you're serving, and serve them.

With all of this in mind...

TOMORROW, we're hosting The Marketing Playbook for Niche Podcasts

Workshop: The Marketing Playbook for Niche Podcasts

🛜 ONLINE session

🗓️ July 28th, 11 AM ET

🙋‍♀️ 12 spots left

You don’t need millions of listeners to build a successful podcast. You just need the right people to tune in and engage with your work.

In this session, you'll learn from Hannah Southern of Podcast Discovery, Emily Reeves of the Violence Week podcast, and Jay Ray of Queue Points. They're each presenting on their areas of expertise within niche podcast marketing.

If you can't make it live, there will be a replay. AND there'll be a checklist with resources and ideas for attendees.
