Suggestions for Implementation
This is a big one, so I'll expand on each of the following points here.
Define your audience using sponsor language. What do your listeners buy, care about, struggle with, need help with?
Brand-finding exercise: Go through your last 10 episodes. List every product, service, app, book, or resource you mention naturally. That's a good place to start. Read a bonus tip here.
Ask your listeners what products / services they buy. (Notice, I did that here).
Sell more than just an ad slot. Get creative with your offerings. Remember that your overall access to a specific community is very valuable.
Find a real person to contact. Search LinkedIn for titles like “Partnerships Manager,” “Influencer Marketing Manager,” or “Brand Partnerships.”Here's a cool tool that helps you find people.
