Best Practices

  • Subscribe / follow first. Get a sense of what these publications / accounts tend to feature. Hone your pitch. When you're ready, submit through the appropriate channels.
  • Be patient. Follow up, but not aggressively. Know that your show might not be a fit for all.
  • Here's an Apple Podcasts-specific pitch submission walk-through.
  • If you're prepping for a show launch / new season, try to line up a bunch of the above to land around the same time. That way, you make a big splash.
